Breakfast with a bang!

This mornings feature: cinnamon apple oatmeal topped with fruit and yogurt!

Serving size: 1

Preparation and cook time: 10 minutes.

Recipe:

1/2 cup Large flake oats
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup chopped apple
1/2 banana
2 tbsp vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp oat bran
1 tsp flax seed
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method:

In a small pot bring the water and almond milk to a boil. Add oats, oat bran, flax seed and cook for 8 minutes. Add chopped apple (works well with sweet apples like Fuji and gala apples), cinnamon, honey and chia seeds. Cook for 2 minutes. Plate. Top with chopped banana for extra sweetness and yogurt for a creamy/tart finish.
